artworks I-2D works and a fashion design

Filed under: 2D works, Design — Yuanzhao @ 11:33 am

this post consists of 9 pieces of drawing. most of them come from GAP.

the first one is one of my fashion designs.

aha, this seems to be my only fashion design in GAP. i was inspired by the colors of butterflies when i did this design. well, i didn’t expect it to be so complicated at first…but it just turned out to be like this…

ok, next! this is my last year end of year work i think…basicly it’s about a dream, but somehow it’s also related with the reality by the leaf besides the girl’s mouth. i like the atmosphere in the drawing. …the girl’s facial structure is not so nice…but that can be one of my styles :] .

a combination from bacteria 😀

i love this piece! actually from this piece i realized that a good piece of art has not only nice outlook but also meanings. art guides people and expresses artists’ thoughts. so, preparation is really important :D.

this is a piece of work i’ve done out of class. it makes me think of Ghibli. like i say, i always the style of Ghibli and i want to express my affinity for Hayao Miyazaki san in this work. well of course i’ll also have my styles :].

  2. Hey yuan zhao, I like the piece you tagged ‘world-peace’! the theme is displayed to explicitly, i got the idea behind ur painting almost immediately! I think that is a success for you because i feel that a successful piece of artwork is one that beings the theme of/idea behind the end-product across to the audience easily. I mean, how do you touch your audience if you don’t make them understand your work, right?
Yea anyway the idea is fantastic and i love the bright colours (peace) you chose against the dark colours (war), forming a contrast within the picture. (sorry i can’t comment on ur painting skills – which would be equally fantastic ofcourse – cos the picture is quite small and i can’t see the details :P)
